I was pleased with many aspects of the podcast, but I particularly liked the part when Schiff addressed the recurring criticism that Democrats are constantly accused to bringing a knife to a gun fight. He then listed a litany of ways by which the Republicans stoop in hopes of winning and to unscrupulously cover their guilty asses. Schiff said he never wants to resort to those sorts of things, even if they prove effective.

It's a real conundrum because the Republicans are often so ruthless and stand to gain plenty electorally because of it (a sad statement on American voters as well). But maintaining principles and values is important.

He showed that he's not a pushover when discussing a carve out of the filibuster to ensure that voting rights legislation gets passed. That is a MUST DO (or else)!
