I have had a lot of close friends, that were decent and loyal to me, but if I were a girl I wouldn't have gone anywhere near them. Even if they understand boundaries, a lot of men have trouble treating women as people.

It isn't all one sided though. Sadly some of the best men I know are married to women they should have run screaming from when they first met them. I was lucky and got a wonderful marriage to a wonderful woman. As the years go by I am feeling luckier and luckier.
