31. Mass murder for fun and profit!

We're getting closer and closer to nearly a billion people on this planet for whom the "system" simply has no need. Rather than give up some of their ill-gotten gains, and spread it around a little better, the obscenely rich and powerful seek to preserve their status by any means necessary.

Our storytellers have been warning us for quite some time now. Maybe this time we can sublimate the urge? I do not know.
