82. Not all 3rd party votes are 'progressives'.

If there were no 3rd party candidacies in 2016, those votes would break differently for TFG and Hillary, right? We don’t know how those votes would shake out. We’ll never know. Secondly, the republicans picked up six senate seats in 2016. McConnell leads the senate and after the Garland nomination fiasco, who knows how vacancies would have played out.

I’d like to point fingers at Facebook, Robert and Rebekah Mercer, Cambridge Analytica, Russia and an electorate who can’t tolerate trans kids, trans bathrooms, gay marriage and “gun control”. That’s a legitimate argument, imho.

But some think Stein is the explanation and that progressives failed the country. As a lifelong progressive Democrat and Hillary supporter (both times), I don’t think that’s true. And I do understand your point of view. I land on that square often.

I offer this for your consideration. Just more grist for the mill.
