I don't think that's the case.

A third of the country is politically disengaged and never votes.

Those who do vote are almost evenly split between us, indies, and Pubs. We might have a tiny numeric advantage over the Pubs, the impact of this is more than offset by our inherent geographic disadvantage of being heavily concentrated in city centers.

The way we win is by focusing on the top issues for the overall electorate. Polls show this is economic and labor issues, not abortion. Focus on the people's top priorities to get elected, and deliver on them to stay there. While we're at it, try to do what we can on issues like this, but it cannot be the focus if we want to stay in power.

One more Democratic party member turning out has half the impact of flipping one indie voter from Pub to us. Turning out our side matters, but grabbing swing voters does more. This is how we had record turnout in 2020, yet lost House seats. If it wasn't for a favorable map and the Pubs lunatic fringe costing them the GA runoffs, we'd have had problems with the Senate as well.
