In my opinion, Organized Religion is a historical tool used to control the little people so those in power can get rich.

The Egyptians practiced it - the powerful bred incestually while the little folks struggled and died to move large stones to build their monuments.

The Romans used it - those faithful rich folks whose gods were in favor at the time watched the poor slaughter each other in the Gladiator Ring.

The brutal Caliphs in the Middle East used it to control the nomads who were the backbone of their many Jihads and died in droves to obtain an unprovable 'Paradise'.

The European West had 1500 YEARS of the Catholic Church being in charge and the result was The Dark Ages of Human Suffering and Knowledge.

Now the Evangelical Sects are trying to do the same thing to the USA in the 21st Century - so that what is left of Human History (not much since they deny Climate Change - maybe a few centuries) will be dark and brutal for most humans - only providing sanctuary for the 1% in control.

Faith on the other hand is a Human Emotion that all of us have access to equally, and can IMPROVE all individual lives, not control or destroy them.

(Rant off - this is all my opinion only - as always others are free to believe what they believe - that is after all, FAITH. And I will respect those views as long as they do not promote violence, bigotry, misogynism, or harm to others.)
