It's not just what is written in the constitution, a lot of these actions violate state law, which requires courts to get involved to resolve.

This ruling would give republican states a virtual lock on the electoral college, as well as federal election results.

What if they pass a law that says all candidates for statewide or federal office must be approved by the legislature? How many good candidates of ours would even appear on ballots?
