He is also running in what is Obama's best state. Obama is up 36.5 there according to an average of polls. In short, Sanders is not doing as well as Obama is.
Contrast that with two other candidates. Sherrod Brown is running against a man who has been elected state wide. He has had just short of 15 million spent against him vs 2 million for. He is running in a state where Obama is at 2.4% win in the polls. Brown is at plus 5.8%. He is out performing Obama.
In Hawaii we have an open seat. She is at 19.4% plus which is behind Obama but she has never run statewide and is running against a former governor. She was outspent 5 to 1 in terms of outside spending. 100k vs 500k.
In short, I will take Brown as the person we might want to emulate in terms of campaigning. Liberal outspent in swing state winning.
