Which is to say, on the meaningless vote, they were in favor of helping out poisoned and debilitated veterans. When it came time to actually help clean up the mess left over from Dubya's Most Excellent Wars and Occupations, they voted no. Lots of money for rockets and explosions and bang-bangs; no money for the folks dying to carry out their fiendish desires.
