15. Sports is not exempt.
England and the football hooligans. Philly and drunk Santa. Brian Stow. Philly fans booing seriously injured players. Pacers vs Pistons vs arena attendees. Philly fans throwing up on innocent bystanders during a game. Assorted CA rivalries gone berserk (49ers v Raiders; Giants v Bums). Philly fans assaulting another teams mascot enough to break his leg. Rival players attacked, even stabbed and shot, while playing their games. Philly fans throwing a beer bottle at one of their own side's players.
And that's the short list of the times sports was a means to divide and hate.
