7. An optimistic list, to be sure, depending on when you choose to define "before"

I suppose if you pick the 1930’s as “before”, it’s definitely true; the 1950’s, partially true, and the 1960’s -70’s, definitely debatably partially true, excluding technological advances.

true in many ways, and yet, here we are, faced with a resurgence of racism, homophobia, and fascism.

I suppose both are true, within their own contexts.

One thing that is undeniably true is the wealth/wage gap is undeniably worse than anytime in the past 100+ years.
