I think daylight savings time is just another example of humans trying to control Mother Nature. If we don't like it that part of the year it gets dark so early or that little Johnny and Susie might have to get on the bus in the dark then maybe we should examine some of our cultural norms. Is it really true any longer that work is 8-5 and during the light of day? Maybe re-examine school bus schedules?

We saw during the pandemic and the last couple of years all sorts of accommodations made to the work force and schooling, some of the changes will just stay with us such as the working from home option.

I guess if I had to choose it would be keep standard time all year long, though I'm retired and just go to bed and get up whenever regardless of the time on the bedside clock.
