At least not long term. I just think they’re largely taking advantage of people’s general ignorance of a very complex issue, something that they are unfortunately very good at. I suspect that when these laws wind up in courts, most of them likely won’t stand bc Republicans will be forced to provide actual evidence and facts, which are not on their side and they won’t be able to actually justify them. As one abortion activist once said, pregnancy is too complicated to regulate. I think the same can be said about gender.
