(14,120 posts)We down here know we must bend to the law of the desert itself to survive. Those that have come to the Tucson area got to see the reminders of the law first hand during the lockdown and the wildfire of 2020 that came to the edge of the city itself.
Maricopa County and Phoenix have this idea that they are above the nature law and that is why they are always in dire straights. They try to hide the fact that they are, but it is becoming harder and harder to hide.
We are known as the Old Pueblo for a reason. The people who settled here originally and those who live here now have had to learn to coexist and take care of the environment around us to survive. Those who can't ends up moving north to Maricopa thinking being there gives them some edge.
It doesn't.
It's a never ending struggle to fight with those that come here with their conservative, strong than the desert ideas. But we know we have to or the desert will get us all.
