Teacher's Post-Election Facebook Post Launches Investigation #meltdown2012 [View all]

(WBNS-TV) An election-related Facebook post by a Columbus City School teacher led to an investigation after parents complained.

The Linden McKinley High School teacher posted, "Congrats to those dependent on government, homosexuals, potheads, JAY-Z fans, non Christians, non taxpayers, illegals, communists, Muslims, planned murder clinics, enemies of America, Satan You WON!" on his personal Facebook page. WBNS is not naming the teacher because he was not been reprimanded.

Freedom of speech gives everyone the right to communicate opinions and ideas, but one mother said that she could not understand why a teacher would allegedly choose to say things about the students and parents who trust him.

Mother Hazel Davis said she received multiple phone calls about the post. “I needed to get on Facebook and see a post he made,” she said. “Once I did that, my mouth just dropped.”
