(62,325 posts)necessarily a threat to security. But two women whose credentials for having the kind of access they had, seem to be nothing more than the fact that they were attractive is entirely different.
They had no military or political connections that we know of, yet managed to insinuate themselves deep into the Military and Intel community. Maybe Broadwell suspected them of not being what they seemed to be and knowing the weaknesses of some of the Generals, having first hand experience with them, she may have been trying to prevent them being used by women as clever and 'seductive' as she was, but with different motives?
May be why all of her warnings were made anonymously as far as I can tell. She had basically destroyed her own credibility re the 'seductress' claim. That doesn't mean she didn't have serious reasons for concern.
