Someone on MSNBC about forty minutes or so ago was reminding what happened in 2016 with Mayor Bloomburg's speech at the Democratic National Convention. I heard the quote that I put in bold.

But in a searing prime-time speech before the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night, Bloomberg tore into Republican candidate Donald Trump’s business bona fides, describing him as little more than a born-rich swindler with a knack for hypocrisy and penchant for declaring bankruptcy and spawning lawsuits.

“Trump says he wants to run the nation like he’s running his business?” asked an incredulous-sounding Bloomberg. “God help us.

I’m a New Yorker and I know a con when I see one,” Bloomberg said in one of a series of memorable one-liners in a speech put together by the former mayor, his longtime speechwriter Frank Barry and his longtime political aide Howard Wolfson.
