I've ever read at DU.

My first election was in 1991 and I had been an independent candidate supporter.

My parents sat me down and asked me to remember their outrage at the appointment of Clarence Thomas.

That was the moment I became a Democratic Party member for life.

Young folks can believe all they want that a Trump Admin won't be "that bad".

When my nieces and nephews are posting from Italy *hug* and *candle* emojis - its because they went on a Christmas Vacation and never came back.

If you don't have a sibling/Aunt or Uncle with a town home in Italy who descends from an old political family (ie the rules don't apply to you) - think long and hard about your vote.

You can worry about 2028 in 2027.
