As for your comment about as a guy gets older, size becomes less important. I understand that in a somewhat different context. Both of my sons have an auto-immune disorder called alopecia areata. It causes hair loss. The older son lost all of his hair when he was only four, the younger one at age ten. When they were kids, strangers always assumed cancer and chemotherapy (which occasionally got us perks like being boarded first class on an airplane) but in reality they were the two healthiest kids out there.
Now that they are adults, 25 and 29, people either figure they shave their heads, or that they simply have early male pattern baldness. In either assumption, they no longer are considered odd or objects of pity.
Getting older has distinct benefits.
