(11,481 posts)29. As far as I'm concerned, a bad law in the name of "compromise"......
is still a bad law. I'd rather see nothing happen than a bad law happen. To me, THAT'S pragmatism that's worth doing. Now, if the Dems want to benefit POLITICALLY from it, they would call them out on it. But if it keeps a bad "grand bargain" that hurts the working class and leaves the capitalist class raking in the dough, then I'm fine with shutting down the government.
