So Jones is up against a incumbent rightwinger.

Well, then let's hope Democrats won't vote for a republican just because the Democratic candidate wasn't endorsed by the Progressive Caucus, or that any republicans would have been swayed to vote Democratic by an endorsement from the Progressive Caucus.
