(5,676 posts)When I first moved to Seattle in 1992 a friend gave me a gift pack of some of their spices, and I was immediately hooked. Used to stop by their Seattle store on Pine Street near Pike Place Market weekly, until they had to move (landlord raised the rent way too high). Their other location was a bit of a drive in Lynnwood, so we'd go every few months to stock up. The store staff was always very friendly and helpful.
The pandemic eventually cost them that store, too, so now our only option is to go with mail-order.
Hint - if you get on their mailing list you get some special deals and great offers, along with topical message and delicious recipes. I've been able to buy $50 gift cards for $35, and gotten a LOT of other freebies with various deals they had. I have nothing but good to say about the company and their policies and politics.
You know that they're definitely making a difference when you see some of the vitriol that is spewed at them on the various wingnut sites.
