Walz reupped for another 6 years - with the option to quit on a days notice because of all the time he had served. (applies to anyone after their first 6 years).

In 2003, he was deployed under Operation Enduring Freedom to Europe (like Vance, he went where they told him to go). And returned in 2004.

Vance runs a Swift Boat attack against Walz’s military service
The broadside is similar to the campaign to discredit 2004 Democratic nominee John Kerry over his Vietnam service.
