Then you knew you were gonna have to pull that 8 track & leave it's tangled guts behind, much like a honeybee and their stinger.

It was never the player, either a Delco in a new Monte Carlo or the cheapest Sparkomatic or Radio Shack. It seemed to be the fault of the tape usually. If they'd maintained high standards in the carts and tape quality, they'd have been a thing longer.

If I had a classic, I'd have a factory option 8-track in the dash with a same year album as the car.
