Kamala Harris Surges In National Polling Following The Debate [View all]

In new polling released one week after the presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, it is becoming evident that the debate gave Harris a bump in support nationally. According to a new Morning Consult poll which surveyed over eleven thousand likely voters, Harris earns about 51% of the vote, while Trump earns just 45% of the vote, a six point margin.

By comparison, the previous poll done by Morning Consult prior to the debate had Harris up in a head-to-head matchup by just three points. Since the debate, her lead has ballooned, doubling in just one week. In addition, the poll found that 61% of respondents believe that Harris won the debate last week, while just 33% of respondents believe Trump won.

If Harris successfully wins nationally by six points, her chances in key battleground states across the country remain high. While it is unclear whether this post-debate bump will remain, it is becoming increasingly clear that Harris currently has maintained her momentum since earning the Democratic nomination two months ago. With less than 50 days until Election Day, Harris remains in the poll position and alarm bells are going off within the Trump campaign.
