I agree that those states will still receive the public funds, which will be given to private schoolls, primarily religious schools with no public oversight or accountability. Their financial aim is to privatize everything, to transfer public money into private hands. Their “education” aim is theocracy.

I am not so optimistic about the DOE. Or that if and when it is demolished, those red state voters will change how they vote in any way.

Lastly the idea that we can control what Republicans will say about us by stifling legitimate concerns regarding the dissolution of democracy as we knew it is self-defeating. What they say about others is what they want to say to create their narrative, and is not based on the actual words or actions of others, eg, Haitians eating pets in Springfield.
