...and that we'll just "adapt!" and learn "resilience!", but the changes our planetary environment will now go through will be catastrophic.

Yes, there will probably be a human animal left on earth when things calm down, but any societies we rebuild at that point will be unrecognizable from what has developed alng with us so far.

And that might be a good thing in the long run, for the human species anyway.
