(2,698 posts)which I'll digest in time. I've been suspicious of claims that voting is safe since Bush beat Kerry in 16 states in the wee hours of the night after Kerry won those exit polls. Claims that voting has become safer ring hollow when those statistics were soundly ignored. Safer how? Safer than what you already told us was safe, so we shouldn't have been complaining before you made them safer?
Meanwhile kids at conventions were hacking voting machines in minutes.
There were a lot of us afraid post 2004 that there would never be an accurate vote count again. Others would roll their eyes if you even mentioned it. 2 Obama wins gave us hope. But the lack of recognition that voting machine fraud might have already happened nationally and in certain problematic races makes us worry about complacency.
So I hope both posts above will enlighten me, one way or the other.
