part of the appeal, i think, is because she comes off as more of an engineer in the sense of someone who isn't power-hunger and polemic (despite republican efforts to paint her as such) but is simply an ordinary person who happens to be highly knowledgeable and eager to actually fix what's wrong.

america is STARVED for congresscritters more interested in solving problems than playing power games.
