The isolation from each other sometimes seems to me to be what is truly at the root of our American decline.

Broadcasting has played an interesting role in all of this. For about 100 years now, an American citizen has been defined as an isolated individual who gets lectured by the broadcast media.

I have tentative hopes that the rise of the Internet and the resulting decline of Broadcasting will help us all engage and be less passive.

......I hope.

it's a pity... dtom67 Feb 2013 #1
