(7,358 posts)I also read that Matthews wanted him gone as well, or he would not commit to headlining a show. Matthews had to be the top dog on MSNBC. (that's documented folks) Perhaps the best that can come out of Maddow's piece, is that it keeps the story alive. Especially for those who were not paying attention back in those days and the fervor of war was in the air; and like zombies, the public just went along with the lies. I have come to realize there are only a small percentage of the public that are paying attention at any given time. Most are too busy with their ''extracurricular activities''; and it's all been designed that way hasn't it? There is nothing we can do now for those who have died in these wars. No one will be prosecuted, no jail time, and god only knows how this will be presented in our public school's history books. Perhaps more than anything else, the loss of life is what is so tragic about ignorance and blind patriotism. The lives that were taken because of the evil that lurks in the powers that be to obtain wealth. Never question, just do what you are told, is how we live today. I wonder how the right will respond to Maddow's piece? I fear to ask the question.
