Try to confine yourself to the topic at hand and not go off topic into some other arguments.

If you feel alerters are alerting on posts when they should not then that's a great topic for your own thread. But not not for my thread here.

BTW, I've served on several juries where I had the thought "why the hell is this post being alerted on????" So I'd more than likely support your assertion that some alerters need to get a "thicker skin" or they need to have a better sense of humor or irony.
