I lived there for 4 years, and I go back there most summers because my husband's family lives there. I love the ocean, St. Augustine, Gainesville, Tampa and most of the food. Other than that, the politics drive me insane and I never really got along with most of the people. When I visit my in-laws, I usually get up early and sit on the porch on the bench swing, watch the birds, and wonder why I recognize that the area is beautiful, but I've never felt at home there.

I haven't been there since 1958, but it always seemed too hot and sticky for me.
