Would burn what ever is left of the bridge between the Republican Party and minorities as a whole. The NSA ambivalence has a lot do with ignorance of the program. Most people are just turning their head because they do not understand it.

On the other hand, people understand VERY CLEARLY what Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr, John F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson fought for. Overturning Section 5, would permanently kill the GOP's chances of competing nationally. Period.
