6. I'm puzzled by the reactions to her, both good and bad.

With the range of hot button issues available to discuss and the repercussions of political actions regarding immigration, the economy (remember sequestration?), LGBT rights, voting rights, reproductive freedom, personal privacy concerns (NSA), etc., I frankly don't have the time or inclination to think much about Paula Deen.
