Sometimes they do have a source if you follow links. I guess it is a question of verifying the sources scrupulously, so others can judge their reliability. Because aren't we all now citizen journalists to some extent?
I appreciate how DUers have helped me to be more critical of my sources. I posted something from the examiner yesterday but posed it as a question. When it was made clear how the examiner had twisted the source, I deleted.
Anyway, it has become hard in this age of cut and paste blogging to find the most reliable sources. Perhaps we should just preface questionable sources with a "rumor has it" caution.

the Examiner is a rag. The fact you have to dig into garbage to find this is telling.
