If the public had not strongly opposed attacking Syria - an American led attack of cruise missiles would have already happened a couple weeks ago

If the public had not strongly opposed attacking Syria - there would have been little difference because the Obama Administration was already working behind the scenes to negotiate a political solution planning all along to avoid a military strike.
