The suggestion about the lawyer is a good one but there are also other options that you may not be able to see because you feel overwhelmed.
Find 3-4 people whose judgment you trust and ask them for advice.
Don't be afraid to say "I need your opinion" and "I need your help".
There will be many suggestions on this thread but no one here knows you or your situation, you need to develop a group of people who know you and whose opinion you trust.
