246. You hit something on the nail head
Thu Oct 17, 2013, 06:37 PM
Oct 2013

Time management. Really, if you regiment yourself, you can get a lot done. It's easy to sit on the couch all evening after a 10 or 12 hour day; I'm not immune to the temptation. However, doing that weeknight cardio means I'm ready to hike in the mountains on the weekend. Moving some iron means I stay strong, toned and keep my basal metabolism up which helps keep weight off. I also make sure I practice my guitar 45 minutes or so a day and I play my practice chanter daily and the full bagpipes an hour a day on Saturday and Sunday.

I think most of us have a choice: sofa turf or be active. I have chosen active. The only lie is in thinking it's not a choice.
