Once, I got a very long line before the time of their breakfast cut off time. By the time I got to the counter, it was after their arbitrary cutoff. The employee behind the counter was extremely rude and unpleasant when she denied me the chance to order breakfast. There was no reason for that - I was prepared for my order based on the time I got in line. I had no watch, they had no clock visible to customers. I did not know what their cutoff time was or what time it actually was. After being awake for 30 hours, I just wanted some quick breakfast and did not want to be insulted. I wasn't rude back, just left with no food.
The next and last time I went was the one I mentioned in my other post in this thread - my sister left her two young sons with us and suggested McD's for their lunch. We were unused to children and unused to McD's so going to McD's during the lunch rush was a very bad idea. The kids were being kids and were not ready to make quick selections. We had no idea how to help the kids pick their meals fast. The people in line behind us just wanted to get their meals quickly and the employee at the counter was impatient and no help. We finally got the kids orders in but when we opened them at the table, they were wrong. The employee was rude and unhelpful about fixing the mistake. By the time we got the orders straightened out, the kids were in tears and my husband and I were completely fed up with McD's.
The two incidents were five years apart. Two different McD's, different employees. No difference in rude, obnoxious attitude. I presume that is part of their training program.
I will never again eat at McD's. I will use their facilities, but my money will not go into their cash registers.
