And the dog owners just didn't want a feral cat around, and worse yet, a pregnant one. But the way you have to learn to care for them, it is a lot like mothering children. I raised a daughter. I know an animal is not a human being but "raising" them is pretty much the same -- you train them to go potty, not to wreck the stuff around the house, to behave and to be loving creatures. And it hurts like hell when you have to say goodbye.

That is right - she is a feral cat and I later found out thru the vet she was 2 at the time
