"Boomers lack a frame of reference to understand how much harder it is to live in this world now"
Pretty darn broad brush and divisive wouldn't you agree?
Btw, my thermostat is set at 55 and has been set at that temp since the heating season started. Occasionally I've turned up the heat to 62 just for the evening when I'm feeling sick and run down. I am wearing a jacket and a cap as I type this on the laptop in the upstairs bedroom where it's about 3-5 degrees warmer then it is downstairs. I have no car as I can't afford one but I do have a scooter which is parked in a storage shed for the winter. I get around in the winter by walking or catching a ride with a friend.
My reply was that my frame of reference was that I and many people I knew grew up poor and because of that, living on SSDI of $1119 a month plus Snap benefits of $15 isn't a problem for me.
