I wasn't there that year, but I have a lot of friends who were. It is a very small campus. So 12/14 is one of those dates we remember. Then Sandy Hook happened last year on the 14th. Then the one yesterday in Colorado. Yesterday was particularly frustrating because I had spent most of the day thinking "man, tomorrow is going to be a drag", and then finding out that, no, *today* and tomorrow were going to be a drag.
Makes for a depressing December.
Most people don't remember the shooting at Simon's Rock (even though we were one of the first, even before Columbine) because not enough (!) people were killed for it to be called a "mass shooting". Which, I guess, is a good thing. But nobody remembers it, which is sad.

I think those citizens who want relaxed laws are included in that poster's assertion. nt
