I lost a lot of muscle and could not walk for a very long time plus the pain in my legs was bad. I had foot drop and was lucky it did not cause perm. damage. I was only in ICU for about 6 weeks. I wasn't getting up at all though and that could be a big difference.
Had the whole trache thing and breathing machine and all that. Just went to bed one night feeling like a storm was coming in coz my body was aching. Woke up 6 weeks later.
My legs are still not normal and I think it's been about 7 years ago now. But am very glad to be around. lol
Am very glad to see that he is continuing to improve.
