the past. He was "too trusting" of his staff and they betrayed him, he doesn't know why he didn't see it before and he lies awake at night because of it. He talks to cherry picked audiences and then thinks the "people of New Jersey" love him. It's amazing that he even thinks he can get away with this self-serving scenario.

That "investigation" is truly doing him GREAT harm. He woulda been better off not having it done at all and just take his chances with the various prosecutions...even tho that is what he was desperately trying to avoid.

Too bad, guv...
