The problem is that the idiot is always behind someone.
They're not road raging at you, he or she is just a hateful person in general.
I don't think that being in the way influences their attitude and behavior, it just gives them someone to direct their hate and bile at. Getting out of the way doesn't really solve the social problem that the rager represents, it just transfers it elsewhere.
