If consumption were cut by 60 percent, the rate of destruction of wilderness, wildlife and oceans would far exceed what should be allowed. And since the population is exploding exponentially, we would be in the same place as we are now - very soon.

I really don't understand why people can't see something this obvious.Is it religion? What?
