It doesn't seem to occur to you, or those like you, that his supporters are satisfied overall with his performance as POTUS. That is most likely because we went into this presidency knowing that no one man or woman is ever going to do every single thing exactly as we would do them, or want them done.
For all of the raving by some that Obama supporters thought they were electing a messiah who would never make a decision or implement a policy that any of them disagreed with, it seems obvious that it's the anti-Obamans (for want of a better term) who still believe there is ONE perfect president out there who will govern 100% as they wish him/her to.
Obama supporters appear to be the realists here. They knew they were electing a human being with flaws and foibles, one who would make decisions they disagreed with, one who would never please all of the people all of the time - and recognized that doing so is simply impossible.
The term "progressive" has lost all meaning on DU. It has become a label that people affix to themselves, or accuse others of not being when they are disagreed with.
Unfortunately, there are too many here who spend the better part of their time putting meaningless labels on Obama, or each other - not as part of a meaningful discussion, but in lieu of it.
I supported Obama because I believed him to be the right man for the job, and still believe that wholeheartedly. I did not vote for a label - especially one that is applied or denied based solely on who's in charge of the Label-Maker on a website.
