It's as despicable, in its way, as the way Max Cleland was treated by Saxby Chambliss. Loss of limb is no proof of heroism or loyalty to the US to that kind of GOPer.

How much is enough? I suspect that for them the only good veteran is a silent veteran. Even better if said veterans are actually dead -- they're no trouble then, they make no demands on the system, they need not trouble the conscience (such as it is) of the uber-patriots of the Right Wing.
