are many more people here who sympathize and support you than appeared on your threads. I hope you'll try to realize that.

You are owed apologies. I'm sorry for those who hurt your feelings and proved untrustworthy. But DU needs experienced people like you.

Please don't walk away. Those who hurt you have revealed themselves to the DU community as flawed members who we need to stay vigilant about, because we know that their careless words will come back to haunt them.

As the political world revs up, people will be less bored, and careless, and they'll stop flinging poo just for drama's sake. As party activities increase, they will spur people here toward becoming better, more empathic thinkers.

Oh, and Skinner's not the determiner of his site's quality, and he knows it. So, as for his indifference, he can go suck it.

If you can remember a time when DU was at its best, please try to trust that it will be that way again.
